Important: While Internet Marketing and Network Marketing are both forms of direct selling and home-based business, they are NOT synonymous. They do NOT mean the same thing. There are many other forms of direct selling and home business.
There’s an unfortunate tendency amongst Network Marketers (and to a lesser extent amongst Internet Marketers) to try to overcome the negative reputations that both suffer from because of deceptive, abusive practices by simply referring to them as “direct selling” or “home business”. This doesn’t help. It’s time to change the damaging behaviour, not just the name!
